YAMeme: 24 SCA Questions

siobhan1214 and giselle0002, then amykb and edelweiss68 joined in, and this morning I see it from isenglass and martelvonc. So here's my instantiation of this "24 SCA Questions" meme.
24 SCA-related questions:
1. What is your SCA Name? Evan da Collaureo
2. What time and where do you portray? early 14th century England and Genova
3. In plain English describe your device. Check out the icon on this comment, which is *not* my usual "meme" icon... it's my SCA armory. Horizontally divided background, red over black; in the center a gold mountain with three peaks and a flattish bottom, and on the mountain a black trombone pointing towards the viewer's right.
4. How long have you been in the SCA? Since 1986.
5. Do you have any special titles you have earned? Master (of the Pelican), Lord, full (capital-H) Herald in the Atlantian College of Heralds
6. What kingdom and local group do you belong to? Barony of Stierbach (Moooooo!!), Atlantia
7. Do you have preferred colors for your SCA Persona? Red, black, green, the occasional purple; gold trim.
8. What is your war that you look forward to going to every year? Pennsic. I also loved going to Gulf Wars but it's too far for my budget most years.
9. Do you hold any offices? Currently, no; have held offices at all levels in the past.
10. Favorite memory from an event? Among those I can repeat here: singing in the Known World Choir at Pennsic, dancing at Gulf Wars.
11. Are you a fighter? What kind? Not; the places where I used to have ankles wouldn't be at all happy if I were. Though I am still considering getting into siege engines if schedule and budget will permit.
12. Are you crafty (making things)? Occasionally, but I haven't developed the skills to do more than the occasional one-off.
13. Do you teach classes at events? Yes, as and when the need arises. I've taught at Pennsic, at Known World Heraldic/Scribal Symposia, at University of Atlantia, and at various scholae in Atlantia and the East.
14. Do you play instruments at events? Oh yes. Recorder for dance band, trombone and trumpet for fanfares (and occasionally in dance band), other wind instruments as the spirit strikes me, and kazoo because it causes train wrecks for folks dancing Korobushka or Hole in the Wall.
15. Do you dance at events? Whenever I get the chance.
16. Do you feel that there is enough flirting and chivalrous behavior in the SCA? Not sure what is meant by chivalrous behavior in this context.
I would say there is *NOT* enough flirting, at least how I define it! I'm still working on my flirting skills... the flirting is meant as a compliment to the lady, and need not mean anything beyond that.
17. Are you a "Black Hat" or a "White Hat"? I'm just confused. For the moment I'll stick with "Checky argent and sable" until I get a clarification, 'k?
18. What is one of the reasons you've remained in the SCA? Friends.
19. What peerage(s) do you aspire to? Should I have the time, energy and budget, I wouldn't mind achieveing a level of accomplishment worthy of the Order of the Laurel; I have been a Companion of the Pelican for nearly 4 years.
20. Who was Crown when you joined the SCA? Tsuneo and Nyan-nyan (better known as Badouin and Caterina).
21. If you are a Peer, who was the Crown that elevated you? Ragnarr Blackhammer and Kyneburh Boithuile, in their second reign.
22. Have you lived in more than 1 kingdom and which ones? No; since joining the SCA I've lived in Atlantia.
23. Have you helped found a group? Yes, the College of Rencester (Williamsburg VA). I've also helped Stierbach go from Shire to Barony.
24. Have you had any house affiliations? Kettle & Trumpets. I also have a lot of friends in Clan Cambion and have camped with them, to the extent that a number of them think I'm a member even though technically I'm not.
