Back from SRWC, but not quite home
Jul. 25th, 2005 12:20 amI'm back in Bowie MD and will head home tomorrow after sleep. We rolled in about two hours ago, unloaded for an hour, and I've spent an hour catching up with various online stuff. About to head for bed, but wanted to post a brief synopsis of the trip to SRWC.
I had a really good time at SRWC this year, despite some rough patches. Court took too long, but it always does at this event. Highlight of the day was Olwynn ni Chinnéidigh getting her Laurel -- Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!
The weather cooperated most spectacularly. Party cloudy and breezy on Saturday, less breezy today, kind of hot but not humid, and nowhere near as bad as it had been during the week. And the nights were clear and blessedly *COOL*... and the full moon didn't hurt matters a bit. (If we get weather like that for the entirety of Pennsic I will *not* complain.)
