[livejournal.com profile] montuos and I will be leaving shortly to visit her mother for the weekend. Her brother and sister-in-law will also be there. Tomorrow is Kinsale Day (which is why the gathering is happening this weekend).

While Internet access is fairly quick from Ayrfield (via satellite dish), physical access to the machines is limited. (At some point [livejournal.com profile] killernurd and I will get the house networked down there... but not this weekend.) Therefore, I will be online only sporadically for the next 48 hours; we'll be back home at some point on Sunday.

I wish everyone a happy and safe weekend (and productive or not depending on what you're aiming for).

Enjoy your visit! I think you & I are both lucky in that we get along as well as we do with our mothers in law.

Yes, I have been *part* of a production of _ALNM_ (one of my last Sinfonicron productions back in Williamsburg). Good musical. (And good on you for noticing!)

However, it's a red herring. Even if there were any interest in such stuff among this weekend's guests, the house (a) isn't big enough; (b) hasn't the requisite facilities to make things, er, interesting. Cheri (Sallie's cousin's widow, mentioned above) is sleeping on the couch in the living room which pretty much puts the kibosh on most late night activity save for occasional complains from Winston (the grand-dog).

And just to round it all out, cousin Robbie Bailey Flynn, her husband Tom and their kids Colleen and Kevin are also in town for Kinsale Day. They have come over for Saturday dinner. The semi-ironic part of all this: the Flynns live in the Lehigh Valley, maybe 10-15 minutes away from my parents.

No chance of finding good ice cream out here in the sticks... OTOH, he's improved enough to have been eating real food for the last 24 hours — huzzah!

Ha. It's my absolute favorite musical of all time. I have both cds --
the movie version and the stage version-- and the tape of the movie.

Of course that means I will be slipping quotes into conversation, now.

"Eleven months?"
"Eleven months."
"A virgin?"
"A virgin."
"No WONDER you thought of me!"

You're quickly getting over my head... I was a *techie* and honestly don't remember all that many of the lines. (Although I would not mind having a recording of the movie; out of the four *non*-Gilbert&Sullivan shows we did while I was part of Sinfonicron, ALNM was my favorite.
