damontI have heard of this wet stuff before... I even saw it (briefly) at Pennsic this year. I think it's called "rain" or something like that. Anyway, we haven't gotten any of it here around DC since Pennsic, but it sure looks like Ma Nature is trying to catch up in a hurry.
Given the weather, I'm kinda glad that we're doing the Family & Friends Birthday this weekend instead of going toMud Fight Kingdom Crusades (The Event Whose True Name Is Pointless War). kyleri, fosveny, nazrynn, mrgrumpybear, siobhan1214, alienor, kfitzwarin, and a host of others that I'm just completely spacing on right now... To all those of you who do go, I hope you have fun, and safe incident-free journeys there and back.
I am, however, looking forward to seeing all the folks who are coming to celebratemontuos's natal anniversary with us, including but not limited to stealthcomic, visgoth, nostasia, blaisedec, sister_devora, and pedropadrao.
The right side of my throat was feeling a bit swollen today; it has subsided since this afternoon. Nevertheless, I am taking no chances. Since I was thinking about it, I actually *looked* for the echinacea/mint tea we like while I was shopping at Giant... and, wonder of wonders, found it! Got two boxes, may go back for more next week, and the first mug is just about ready to drink right now.
It looks more and more certain that I'll be coming up to Allentown next Sunday (the 16th), this time to see family for once --wednesday1971's daughter will be two years old this coming week. My "Meg-friendly orange" shirt should be clean for me to wear to the birthday party, seeing as it's in the washing machine right now.
The weekend after that is W&M Homecoming... and I have some tough decisions to make about that.
One final note for now: It has been a *VERY* rough week for a lot of folks close to me. *BIG hugs* go out to all of you. Also, a big LJ welcome tomamaalanna!
