We've been to the Lehigh Valley and back since the last post. Left the house Friday around 11 (after packing), and got to the credit union just about 3. Spent a couple of hours with my family, and then off to Easton for dinner with [livejournal.com profile] maziemaus, [livejournal.com profile] juergen, and [livejournal.com profile] bunnyjadwiga, where we were also staying for the weekend. The rest of the houseguests arrived after dinner (some shortly after midnight).

Saturday morning was cold, with intermittent drizzle, when [livejournal.com profile] bunnyjadwiga and I left for the site. Not enough breakfast. The drizzle updowngraded into a steady cold rain by the time we reached the site. I put up the signs; unfortunately, we really needed two more signs, including one that said "This building is NOT the SCA site!!! SCA is in the building behind this one" and we also needed a stake for the final sign, as the old roadsign post insisted on aligning the sign such that nobody could see it. On top of this, I had someone who wasn't on staff tell me I was doing it wrong. Exsqueeze me: this isn't my group, I've never done setup at this site before, I don't have the right equipment, and you're telling me I'm doing it wrong? I did the best I could to finish up, stomped inside, and snapped about it at [livejournal.com profile] bunnyjadwiga who totally did not deserve it. I'm sorry.

With enough hot coffee, the chance to dry out, and eventually lunch, I regained some equanimity. The rest of the event was fun. Shortly after noon, [livejournal.com profile] kyleri showed up, with [livejournal.com profile] fosveny in tow, and the rain turned over to *SNOW*. We suspect the timing of these two occurrences was not coincidental. I got to talk for a while with [livejournal.com profile] fosveny's mother, and with [livejournal.com profile] kyleri, while [livejournal.com profile] fosveny was in a corner talking with someone else (which he told me later took longer than he'd expected, but was needed). The snow went back over to rain after a couple of hours. [livejournal.com profile] wednesday1971 did eventually make it, along with John and Meggy. Meggy was fractious and unhappy most of the time -- turns out she had a tummy bug, which they discovered via rather messy means the following day.

The event wound down, and we cleaned up the site, and we went off to dinner and back to Easton for a relaxing post-revel, which was effectively continued on Sunday morning and afternoon. Sunday evening, we played Settlers of Catan, which [livejournal.com profile] montuos won. Monday, we did what we could to help [livejournal.com profile] maziemaus clean up the house, then headed out. Stopped at the Family Home to retrieve my coat, and at Wegmans to get stuff I can't get at the No.Va. area Wegmans; arrived in No.Va. in time for me to surprise everyone by showing up at Alle Psallite practice.

And now, it's time to get ready for the Great Easter Choir Marathon...
