Home (but for just the morning)
Oct. 26th, 2006 01:12 pmI arrived home safe from Pennsylvania about 0230, after a 3-hour stop in Bowie MD en route. Delivery to
herveus via SCAdiaNet was accomplished as part of said stop.
wednesday1971's planned move to California is approaching. My father went down to my other sister's yesterday to pick up furniture that's going west; when he got home I helped him unload the van. They still have a lot of packing to do.
Pandora and Whisper go with my sister. KC, my parents' cat, is very much getting on in years, and is now dying of something kidney related; while that's one of the most common ways for a house cat to go, my mom is understandably upset about the prospect of losing him. Nevertheless, they're not planning on getting another cat since they're traveling so often these days; with the other cats moving to California, very soon that house will be catless. That will be the first time since 1978 that the family home will be without a cat for more than a few months. It's going to feel very weird.
montuos,
killernurd, and I are heading out in about an hour, picking up
asaia and heading to Ayrfield for the evening. Tomorrow morning there will be eye checkups, and then we're going to Williamsburg (in part for W&M Homecoming). Online access will be spotty from Friday until we get home on Sunday. Safe travels to everyone this weekend. (EDIT 11:25 PM: First leg of journey completed without incident; making an earlier than usual night of it here at Ayrfield.)
