Saturday afternoon we went to a party being thrown for jaine_parr and Bud. The cakes were done up after their motorcycles -- very very cool! Got to see spikywheel and her new baby there.

Saturday evening I was in D.C. proper, performing at a fundraiser variety show for the William E. Doar Jr. Public Charter School for the Performing Arts. (Click on "Faculty Show - Spring Fling Weekend April 27 and 28" for the promo flyer.) One of my fraternity brothers is a music teacher there, and six Sinfonians got together to sing Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" (as arranged for the Dreamers at Penn State). The entire performance ran quite late, and I am very grateful to montuos for coming to get me at the Vienna Metro fishhook when I'd been too stupid to leave a car there beforehand.

I am reminded of the expressways northwest of Philly(76, 276, 476, 422, 202), and trying to get from one to another (or onto/off Ridge Pike or Germantown Pike or Route 23 or Route 320).
