[livejournal.com profile] devreux and CJ found an amusing set of Transformer-related videos on YouTube and posted a few of them here. Upon viewing two of them in a particular sequence I fell out of my chair... and thus I must share them.
First, watch a current ad from Citroën (in English): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMZt72uuQaU
Then, *afterwards*, watch a parody of that ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9pZrt_0NxY
Watching order is important here.

Greetings [livejournal.com profile] margaretc! Welcome to this little corner of whatever.

This past weekend I had a short visit with [livejournal.com profile] jacylrin's daughter. (And [livejournal.com profile] jacylrin herself as well, but if you ask the 8-year-old, you can be certain who *she'll* identify as the primary visitee!) I also went over to Maryland to help [livejournal.com profile] sigkit move her stuff from storage back into her new/old place (the same stuff I'd helped move *out* of the same place, as noted over here). There was a sizable crew of grunts, including [livejournal.com profile] northernwalker, [livejournal.com profile] sister_devora, and [livejournal.com profile] pedropadrao, as well as some folks who don't have LJs. The storage place rents box trucks; we got everything into and out of the box truck (plus one pickup) in under 6 hours.

I've spent too much of the last few days missing people.

Thank you. It was the Assault Choir that got me - hadn't managed to hear that one before. I think I want to join! I'm a tenor-1/contralto-on-a-good-day.

It's been a while since we've put together a choir at University, hasn't it...

At one point Alle Psallite's bass section consisted of me, Sir Aelfred (when not singing tenor), [livejournal.com profile] thornbury, and James of Rutland. It was a running joke for us to threaten [livejournal.com profile] carthew with singing her through the far wall.

**snugglehugs** Thanks. Not sure what *can* be done, though, esp. as it's largely my own stupid fault.

Not sure how in the world I managed to miss this - I've been attending University since about 1993, and even now (with kid) make it to about 1/year.

Tee hee! I remember those "old school" Cits from when I was living in Germany (and occasionally visiting France) back in '83. Very basic and *no* power whatsoever.

Yep... we had a couple around Charlottesville when I was in grad school and we often wondered how they made it up the hills. (Those 2CV-6's were done up in the weirdest paint jobs too. Even stranger than the VW's.)
