damontIn response to a recent inquiry on an email list about blazoning a couple of possible designs, I used the following:
"Quarterly X and Y, an arrow fesswise between four widgets".
"<field>, on a bend sinister between two widgets a thingy".
I then concluded by saying:
"Yes, I am resorting to highly technical terms here. ;-)"
