A place that offers all-you-can-eat pizza and dessert for under five bucks (INCLUDING tax) is being WAY too much of an enabler for my inner carb junkie.
Hey, it's not like I can't go 5 minutes in any direction and find a pizza place around here... Same deal with bagel shops. But yeah. White pizza and I never met each other until now. Grandma Pizza, and all the other neopolitan or sicilians with the regular toppings, sure. Salad pizza, sure. Still have yet to try Hawaiian, Cheddar and Broccoli, Margharita, and the other varieties of "gourmet" out here.
Not sorry for "no pizza joints" -- sorry for all the years without the enjoyment of white pizza!
Definitely try Margherita, too -- but wait until tomatoes are actually in season. Cheddar cheese on pizza is Just Plain Wrong, IMHO, and dr_zrfq will tell you the same about pineapple. But WTF is salad pizza?
Salad pizza is.... a pizza sans sauce, no cheese, but with house salad and italian dressing on it, with some feta cheese on top. It's not bad, though it resembles eating pizza dough with your salad on top, not on the side.
I'm sure that Generous George's (http://www.generousgeorge.com/) in Alexandria probably would put a salad on a pizza crust upon request. Assuming they don't do so already. Their *pasta* dishes all come atop pizza crusts.
