Retail therapy via produce
Went to Wegmans last night in search of decent produce. They did have some South American asparagus, but prior customers had already gotten most of it so I'll have to wait until they put more out -- also hoping they'll put it on sale. (Safeway had the same stuff this week for $1 less per pound. But Safeway abuses the poor asparagus by not paying attention to the water levels in the trays.) Wegmans *DID* however have some really good looking fennel (*glomp!*) and Nittany apples (likewise!), so two out of three ain't bad (as the song says).
(So what *is* the adjectival form of the noun "produce" referring to fruits and veggies? "Productive" isn't it.)
