Re: Breaking news
Dec. 20th, 2005 10:29 pmI've now deleted the "Breaking News" post about the federal judge (who, according to WTOP radio, is a Bush appointee, FWIW) ruling that Intelligent Design may not be taught in public school science classes. That news is no longer "Breaking" -- by now most of us have heard it from other sources.
It was not my intent to start up any political discussion here -- only to alert folks that the ruling had been made. This is an issue with strong opinions on both sides, and knowing my LJ friends list, it had potential to become divisive. That's why I screened all comments after a while -- I had considered disabling comments completely, and when I decided not to, I had intended to screen all comments, but neglected to. My bad.
I've initially screened all comments for this post as well; abuse *me* if you want, I'm used to it.
