Shameless plug (SCA A&S event)

Next month, [livejournal.com profile] montuos and I will be going up to the Lehigh Valley for an SCA event oriented towards A&S. The official name of the event is "Emmaus Fair (and Artisan Exhibition)", but since the event isn't actually in Emmaus but about 12 miles north of it (in Schnecksville), I usually call it the "(Not In) Emmaus Fair" just to be a smartass.

The event announcement can be found here in [livejournal.com profile] sca (I forwarded it there by permission/request of the autocrat). I encourage folks to attend, and hope to see you there.

After reading the Event listing, this does sound like something I may really want to go to...

They have been wonderful events in the past--very relaxed, and lots of artsy types talking and sharing...

I guess "Schnecksville Fair" doesn't sound very mellifluous....

What's the approximate driving time from DC?

Figure on 3.5 hours; then you probably have time to be late.

It's do-able in 3 hours... if you're speeding the entire way. From north of DC (e.g. Greenbelt), 3.5 hours should be plenty of time. Nota bene: if you're coming in from the west, going east on I-78, you need to take exit 51 -- route 22 east, to get to route 309 *NORTH*. If you stay on I-78 you can't get directly on 309 north.

I still plan to go if I can, but I still have no clue :)
