Weekend wrapup, and a belated barbarian chorus for [livejournal.com profile] stell4

Hey there [livejournal.com profile] stell4 -- sorry I didn't get to a computer yesterday, so this is a day late. Since [livejournal.com profile] montuos has already posted the menagerie, here's a short excerpt of a song you may have heard once or twice before... (cues barbarian chorus)

Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)
Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)

Doom and gloom and dark despair
People dying ev'rywhere

On your Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)
Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)

Cities burning in your wake
Like the candles on your cake

Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)
Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)

This one lesson you must learn:
FIRST you pillage, THEN you burn!

Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)
Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)

Mortal vermin cringe in fear
Thank God it's only once a year

Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)
Happy Birth-DAY! (*STOMP*)

When you've reached this age, you know
That the mind is... (er, I forget how this verse ends... gimme a minute, it'll come to me, I'm sure...)

The weekend was nice. Saturday I did manage to get to the Green Lane festival demo for a little while; got to hang out with Julia, Marti, [livejournal.com profile] fosveny (the were-Julia), [livejournal.com profile] kyleri (the were-Marti), Arpad, [livejournal.com profile] h3salthea, Alison, Scholastica, and John, among others. I didn't manage to see [livejournal.com profile] nateprentice, but that's my own fault for not getting there sooner. It was fun, and I'd like to go again next year.

...thank you so much for lugging my stuff to the car...did I thank you?!?

I really don't remember...I just knew I was concerned about Grimm and wanted to get home at that point..

...and I was right, he hadn't had anything to eat since the morning of that day...*sigh*
