Heads-up re: this weekend
Feb. 10th, 2006 09:45 amWith the winter storm track still nebulous, my plans are still up in the air. We've tentatively cancelled plans to go southeast to the Northern Neck. If the storm track goes more EAST-ish, then there won't be significant amounts of ugly in western PA, and I'll be coming to Pittsburgh for the BMDL event and the Pelican meeting. (Yes, I've warned Margaret.) But if the storm track goes more WEST-ish it'll dump a lot on western MD/west-central PA, and *that* would put the kibosh on me going to Pgh. (Westward track would also make it possible that we'd go to the Neck after all.)
This will be updated later today as events unfold. EDIT 9 pm: The weather is favorable for going northwest and *NOT* favorable for going southeast. So, Pittsburgh here I come. Yes, it's likely to be a late arrival, but traveling tomorrow morning looks too dicey. So I'm heading out now-ish. See some of you later tonight, and others tomorrow or Sunday. Safe travel to everyone who's going places this weekend.
